Pitter patter rain

Pitter patter rain! - Oh! How you fall!
Sometimes so gentle, - Sometimes so fast,
How you love the earth, - that you descend from above,
With not a thought, - not a doubt,
Never to waver, - nor to linger,
Sometimes a dainty drizzle, - Sometimes a drenching downpour,
At times a nervous lover, - At times a long lost love,
Teach me to love, - to love like you,
Not to falter, - not to waver,
Not to hesitate, - not to linger,
Is the earth so worthy, - that you fall with abandon?
Or is it your surrender, - that makes the earth worthy?

  1. I have read the first three and they are all good. But I like this one the most. As Jannavi says in the previous post, please write more.

  2. Hi,
Nature always makes me go crazy. Most of these poems [I like to call them that] about rain, trees, sky, etc were written when I spent 6 months in Huntsville, alabama. I was staying alone in madison county and that place was so beautiful unlike the concrete jungle that I am used to, that I guess I went crazy. This particular one I wrote while driving to work on a rainy day. Those torrents outside the car window somehow seemed to demand something to be written about them. :). I think if I can see beauty in my day to day surroundings I will be able to write more often. Thanks for ur comments. Such comments do really make one feel good :).
